Hey there!

I'm absolutely thrilled that you've stopped by. I'm Whitney, but you can call me Whit. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over seven years of experience, I'm here to offer you warmth, support, and guidance on your journey to healing.

I earned my Master’s Degree from New York University and have specialized training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS), and Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Additionally, I'm trained in yoga (level 2) and Transcendental Meditation.

My background includes serving as an expert witness in legal cases involving child abuse and working extensively with traumatized children and families affected by domestic violence and sex trafficking.

In my practice, I've had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages, from families and children to teens and adults. I specialize in addressing anxiety, depression, PTSD, self-esteem issues, peer relationships, major life transitions, and coping skills.

I'm here to provide you with the support and tools you need to navigate life's challenges and discover your inner strength. So, welcome aboard – let's embark on this journey together!

I take great pride in my eclectic counseling style because I firmly believe that each client is wonderfully unique and deserves a tailored approach to their journey (after all, one size does not fit all).

Drawing from psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, motivational interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions, I offer a blend of techniques that best suit each individual's needs.

In addition to traditional methods, I also incorporate art therapy, deep breathing exercises, body movement, and guided meditation to support my clients in achieving their goals. By centering my approach around the client's strengths and aspirations, I strive to help them uncover their fullest potential and become the best versions of themselves.

My ultimate goal is to empower individuals to lead richer, happier, and more fulfilling lives. I am deeply committed to serving clients from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds. Creating a safe and non-judgmental space within my office is of utmost importance to me, and I continuously strive to uphold this standard for all my clients.

I was always embarrassed about going to see a therapist until I went to see Whitney. She made me feel comfortable enough to open up and discuss issues that I normally would not even share with the closest people in my life. Her unbiased and non judgmental approach is what makes her sessions so comforting. Im forever grateful for her services.

When my young daughter was struggling adjusting to a new school and a big move across the country, Whitney helped teach her coping skills and relaxation techniques. These tools have proven to be invaluable during her stressful life moments.
